Tharcisio Vaz is an award winning audio professional that works as a game and film composer/sound designer for over a decade. Master and Doctorate in Game Music Composition at UFBA, he worked on music and audio production in more than 80 Games, Movies and Animation projects, having his music played by some of the finest ensembles in Europe like Ligeti String Quartet (England) and Kaiser String Quartet (Germany). His works were exhibited and awarded in national events like SB Games, Campus Party, Brazil Game Show, international events as the Gamescom, NYX Festival, BIG Festival, Cannes Festival, Media Sound Hamburg and museums like V&A Museum (London) and Pavilhão da Bienal (São Paulo). Among his projects highlights the Audio Game Breu franchise, in which Vaz composed and produced over 1 hour of music for string quintet, piano, synth and percussion recorded live, directed VO's with 24 professional voice actors from both game and film industries, handling the localization process (PT-BR and ENG versions). Vaz is currently Game Audio Professor at UNEB, teaching hundreds of students and lecturing at different universities in Brazil, Portugal, England and Germany.
